We are delighted to welcome the fantastic talents of Ceal Warnants, fresh on the heels of her sell out success at the Royal Academy Summer Show in London. 

Ceal Warnants' work explores the dark side of British culture focusing particularly on ideas of youth and innocence. Creating subversive images of childhood that question nostalgic, saccharine depictions of growing up, Ceal’s work is both darkly comic and disturbingly truthful.

Ceal's work has been exhibited consistently since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2008, with many of her editions selling out and her work held in collections around the world.

Just arrived this week are two new prints by Anna Marrow.

Shadows & Reflections is a beautiful print sized at 56 x 56 cm and Pool Party at the Riviera is a larger sized piece at 110 x 77 cm. 

Unfortunately we don't have great photos yet of the new prints - but both are available to view online and at the open studios this weekend and available framed.

This coming weekend we are opening our studio door and taking part in the Hotel Elephant Summer Open Studio event.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see the work in closer detail - viewing work online is not always easy and seeing work in 'real life' means that you can really get a better sense of the colours and quality of the work.

This coming weekend sees the start of the fantastic annual event The Dulwich Festival.

We are taking part in the Artist Open House event this year on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13th May from 11-6pm. Come along to Volcano Coffee Works, Parkhall, 40 Martell Road, London SE21 8EN. MAP

We have an ongoing show of work at the cafe throughout May and June where we are showing a collection of prints, drawings and originals by our regular artists including a good collection of Cyanotypes by Jo de Pear, limited edition prints by Delphine Lebourgeois and a small collection of paintings by Mark Dyball, Marleen Pennings and original works on canvas by Jessica Ford. 

 We also have guest Artists including Katy Binks whose beautiful silk scarves and limited edition prints will be on show and jewellery designer Phyta Studio

We still have a few original artworks by Anna Marrow under £500 available. Anna's work has recently developed further with her exploring the potential of Japanese Plywood - a finely sanded wood that is used traditionally for Japanese wood engraving. Anna has been working in a mixed media - combining screenprinted elements with hand drawn and painted details.

New for the Spring are a series of bright and bold abstract paintings by Jessica Ford. 

These bright and beautiful colourful modernist style paintings are a great addition to any home or work place, adding a bright window of colour and easily complimenting a contemporary interior. Each unique painting is framed in a white, hand painted wood frame.

Opening next week is the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park. We are showing a collection of new works on paper by Kate Banazi, Anna Marrow and Delphine Lebourgeois alongside new botanical photography by Kevin Dutton. 

New additions to the show will be the fantastical work of Alexandra Gallagher alongside new Artist Mark Dyball whose contemplative works on wood are proving a hit already. 

Further paintings from Jessica Ford and Marleen Pennings will be on show.
